This Showa was completely different when I got it a year ago. I did try to guess what it would look like after a year (right now), but could never guess the dull grey regions that it had would explode into jet black Sumi to make this Showa the Star of my pond. I think the Sumi on this fish is really awesome and stands out against all other varieties that I have.
