Koi Description:
A favorite of mine but learned a lesson. When purchased at six inches it was nesu (very light gray) about the lightest gray of all of its siblings from same spawn - I was looking at about 80 koi and most were darker and now my koi has joined its brothers and sisters and gone kuru (dark). I live in southern California, but my pond water is maintained at a GH (total hardness) of one drop or less than 17ppm. So think its current condition came with the gene pool.
